Great Food since 1959

in 1959,William T. Kelly and his son Ron opened a luncheonette in the Bustleton section of Philadelphia, serving Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.   With the luncheonette business steadily growing, Bill and Ron decided it was time to move to a better location with more room, but still in the Bustleton area.

In 1964 Adam's Bar was purchased on Old Bustleton Avenue, just a mile South from the Luncheonette, where they decided to change into a Seafood restaurant.   Quickly Kelly's Tavern became a popular place to enjoy Lunch and Dinner, or just a cold beer.    The consistence of Kelly family members being present during operations stayed true, while the restaurant continued to serve quality seafood, chicken, pasta dishes, and meats.

As the years passed, the menu continued to grow from fried Seafood and sandwiches, to Broiled, Sauteed, and All You Can Eat Specials.   The Kellys were ready to expand the 80 seat restaurant, so in 1983 the connecting Drug Store was purchased.   The result was a 150 seat dining room, a 20 stool bar, and Banquet facilities for up to 90 people.   Ron's children Denise, Tim, Brett, and Brian joined the Restaurant full time to help serve the ever increasing number of customers from the Bustleton and surrounding areas

The third   generation of Kellys have been working in the business since 1978,   bussing tables, dishwashing, tending bar, and of course cooking all of your favorite entrees.

Today, Kelly's Seafood offers a large menu for Lunch, Dinner, Take Out, and Catering.   Over the years, Kelly's has been known for their ability to serve quality food at fair prices, in a clean and friendly atmosphere.

We look forward to serving you!
